Shamus is a handsome little guy who is about 4-month-old and a black Lab/Retriever mix. With a heart as big as his loving energy, Shamus is the definition of puppy joy—full of love, curiosity, and boundless playful energy. Whether he’s chasing toys, wrestling with his doggy friends, or curling up for snuggles after a big day of play, he’s always spreading smiles.
He’s great with other dogs, especially those who can keep up with his fun-loving spirit, and he’s also cat-friendly and kid-approved! With a little guidance and lots of love, Shamus is going to grow into the most loyal and loving companion you could ever ask for.
If you're looking for a happy, playful pup to brighten your days, Shamus will be ready to join your home by the end of April 2025!

Shades is a velvety little nugget of a girl—sweet, playful, and full of love once she trusts you. We rescued her from a local shelter where she was at risk due to an isolated incident involving a visitor entering her previous home unexpectedly. While in the shelter’s care, Shades never had any issues and spent a lot of time in the office, happily hanging out and loving all of the attention from staff.
She’s now safe with one of our wonderful fosters and is patiently waiting for her forever home. Shades will thrive in a calm, adult-only environment, preferably with other pups, because they bring out the best in her. She does extremely well with cats, and is crate and house trained. Now that she’s settling into her foster home, we are able to really learn how she does in a home setting. Let’s get this girl the happy ending she deserves!

In heart worm treatment
Goose was found wandering around a neighborhood in Alabama. He is now in Cleveland waiting for his forever home. He is a sweet, lovable guy who thinks he is a lap dog :) He is up to date on vaccines and does have a small case of heart worm that is being taken care of. He loves being with his people and does not like being alone. Goose has some hesitancy to crates but is house broken and happy to go on a walk, but does not require hours of exercise. He does not pull on the leash. Goose does well with other dogs and older children (we haven't seen him with younger one but think it would be fine). Fill out an application below to bring this sweet man home!

Mittens was surrendered to our rescue due to too many animals in the home. She is an independent cat, who will snuggle with you occasionally. She is good with other cats, as well as respectful dogs. Mittens is currently having difficulty grooming herself due to her weight - her ideal weight is 7-8lbs.
Answers to Your Frequently Asked Questions
When will my adoption be finalized?
Adoptions are finalized after your application has been approved, a home, vet and reference check has been done and a meet & greet is successful. This is animal and situationally dependent. It does vary case by case but we do work diligently to get our animals in their forever homes as soon as possible!
What are the fees?
Adoption fees vary based on the size and needs of each animal but in general, they range between $50-$350.
How long are foster commitments?
Foster time commitments depend on each animal and this is discussed before any commitments are made. To support the animal, we do intend for our fosters to take care of the animal until they are adopted. We do work diligently to get our animals into their forever homes as soon as possible!
My animals have all passed away. Do I still need to provide vet information on the application?
Yes. We ask that you provide information for any pet, alive or deceased, that you have had in your care for the past 7 years.
Do I need experience with animals to volunteer?
No! It can make it easier if you do but of course, it's not necessary. We also have volunteer opportunities that don't directly involve the animals. Fill out our volunteer application!
Is there a minimum age to volunteer?
To volunteer as an adult, we ask that you be at least 18 years of age. If you are under 18, we require a parent to volunteer with you. We do sign papers for volunteer/ service hours as well!
